Sealed bids will be received by the Cuming County Board of Supervisors until Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. and opened at 10:45 a.m. The bid will be awarded by the Cuming County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 1:15 p.m. for the construction drawings and construction of an 80ft x 120ft x 18ft eave height, metal shop building with 4 bays and an office / restroom facility. The project is located at 701 Hwy 275 in City of Wisner, Cuming County, Nebraska.

The project is referred to as “Wisner Shop” and shall include the design and construction drawings for an 80ft x 120ft x 18ft eave metal shop building with 4 bays and an office/restroom facility and the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and other related incidental work necessary to construct the building.

Copies of the Bid Documents and Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the Cuming County Clerk, 200 South Lincoln Street, Room 100, West Point, NE 68788. A set of documents may be obtained from the Cuming County Clerk, 200 South Lincoln Street, Room 100, West Point, NE 68788. All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents.

The sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the County Clerk of Cuming County, County Courthouse, 200 South Lincoln Street, Room 100, West Point, NE 68788, and should be plainly marked as, “Construction Bid Proposal – Wisner Shop”

Along with the Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Cuming County, Nebraska in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to include an estimated time of beginning and completion for the project with its Bid Proposal. The desired completion date of the project is January 31, 2023.

Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Cuming County Board of Supervisors.

The Cuming County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act’s competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 23-3110 to 23-3114, and the Cuming County Board of Supervisors will, at its discretion, award the contract on the basis of the lowest responsible bid received.
